End Of The Year Due Date For All Library Books

Friday Before Spring Scholastic Book Fair Opens

Westwood Birthday Book Club Is Here!

Your patience is appreciated as we waited for the books to arrive and be processed into our library system. I am continuing to meet with students to choose their special library book that you have generously donated to the Westwood Library in honor of their birthday. Birthday Club students will be able to check out their book the first week of their birthday month (Summer birthdays will be celebrated in May). Once your student has returned their library book, other students will be able to check it out and celebrate with them all year round. It's a special memento in honor of your student that all Wildcats will enjoy for years to come. Thank you again to all of the Westwood families who participated in this year's Birthday Book Club.

Maker s Space

This year, I'm so happy to announce that we have a whole room dedicated to our Wildcat makers, coders, builders, and creators! Students will now have the opportunity to work on long-term projects together as we continue to build a community of makers!

Celebrate Dr. Seuss & Read Across America!

Westwood Wildcats will be celebrating the works of Dr. Seuss and all our favorite authors of yesterday and today during a week-long reading celebration starting Monday February 25th. Our week will be capped off with an evening event on Friday March 1st, filled with special guest readers, a reading awards ceremony, and a special treat for all to enjoy as we wrap up a special week encouraging a love of reading and developing readers into leaders!

Have you visited our literary garden yet? Stop by the planter box by the Westwood Library and take a trip down children's literature lane with some of your favorite books!
